Ag Consulting Co’s Sharon Honner became the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Director of Australia in November of last year.
She has been a member of the ICF since 2009, where she was asked to be on the leadership team for South Australia after attending her first event.
Sharon thought this was a fantastic opportunity to help contribute and participate in professional development within the coaching field.
‘I became a ICF member after I did my coaching training several years ago and one of the things that I learned about coaching is that it’s not actually recognized as a profession.’
‘What I was looking for in being a member was how I could be affiliated with an association that gave professionalism to what I did and through the ICF I am an Associate Certified Coach ’
Sharon hopes to use her new role as the Director of Australia to continue to develop coaching into the professional space.
‘One of my main goals for the ICF is to be able to expose more people and businesses to the benefits of coaching.’
