Whether it’s in a group training exercise, a webinar or a one-on-one mentoring session, Ag Consulting Co’s Sharon Honner and Jeanette Long are fantastic at what they do.

I recently participated in DairySA’s 2BHerd Leadership Development Program, a 5 month program which concluded in April 2012 and I found that together they are a dynamic duo - with their differing approaches to people and teaching, get the best out of their group, coaxing even the most introverted people into active participation. They are inclusive, informative, well organised and love what they do - which comes through in their teaching style.

They helped me find my voice and the confidence to go out into the industry and seize leadership opportunities I wouldn’t have felt able to do before, I highly recommend them to lead similar programs throughout the agricultural sector.

As founder and Executive Director of the Agri-Women’s Development Trust I am happy to provide a recommendation about Ag Consulting Co.

I have had a long standing professional relationship with Jeanette Long, firstly through my research and more recently as the deliverer of the Leadership Module in the year long NZ based Escalator programme.

That a NZer had to come to Australia to find the right person to develop and deliver this module speaks volumes. Jeanette not only provided the academic expertise and credentials required but brought a depth of personal experiences which would be surpassed anywhere.

The Trust intends to extend this successful relationship with both Sharon and Jeanette to work Trans Tasmin in providing and delivering the highest quality programmes and coaching opportunities for women in the sector.

Both Jeanette and Sharon are solutions focused for their clients and for the women they provide services for. Bringing a rare factor of “above and beyond the call of duty” to everything they do.

I have found previous Myers Briggs sessions of academic interest and of some value, however Jeanette’s strong understanding of Regional Communities, Community Organisations, the Grains Industry and Farming Families really brought the sessions to life and significantly increased my understanding of how to best apply Myers Briggs principles for the benefit of the industry, community, business and family.

Workshop participants came back the second day very enthusiastic and eager to share how they had applied workshop principles with family and friends, and sought further feedback on their experiences.

The National Rural Women’s Coalition (NRWC) was absolutely delighted with the facilitation services provided by Jeanette Long at our recent Networking the Networks Advisory Group Planning session in Melbourne, 2-3 September 2013.

Jeanette was able to meet with the NRWC (via teleconference) prior to the planning days to determine our aims and anticipated outcomes for the day and agree on a structure for the workshop. This included room layout considerations and resources required. Jeanette adapted “her tools” to meet all of our objectives and more.

The planning workshop involving bringing together 9 individuals who did not know each other. Jeanette was able to quickly set up an introductory atmosphere of excitement and togetherness in the room that allowed each participant to introduce themselves whilst sharing the skills and knowledge that they brought to the room.

Throughout the workshop, Jeanette fostered a constant state of curiosity, questioning and open dialogue amongst the Advisory Group members. It was this introduction that set the scene for greater dialogue which generated even greater ideas which led to dynamic strategic directions and actions as the group undertook shared responsibility for the outcomes. Jeanette was able to listen superbly, draw people out and summarise conversations in a skilled and professional manner. Amazingly the group achieved more than we had ever planned for, which was a huge bonus. An energetic, positive and productive team was formed.

The work of the NRWC has been enhanced by the professional facilitation services provided by Jeanette Long.

Alice prepared a promotional video of our event Pick a Pink Lady Weekend. I am extremely pleased with the final outcome. Alice took the time to understand the brief in the lead-up to the event and worked to meet in with our requirements.

Her quality of photography is outstanding and she took care in the editing and production with a high attention to detail.

Her versatility in skills is an asset and I would highly recommend Alice for those looking for that personalised touch to their video production.
