Based in South Australia, Ag Consulting Co is a family business which was established in 1995 by husband and wife team, Bill and Jeanette Long, their daughter Alice now also works in the business.

Bill Long is the Managing Director and Principal Consultant for Ag Consulting Co with over 25 years experience working as a farm consultant, project manager and researcher. His lifetime of farming experience ensures he maintains a practical approach to the consulting business. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Agriculture, has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors Diploma and is currently undertaking a Masters in Agriculture. A very innovative and lateral thinker Bill completed a Churchill Fellowship in 2010 investigating pollination and integrated pest management practices in the USA and Europe. Bill is a member of the GRDC Southern Panel, the Ag Excellence Alliance in SA and he is a keen supporter and active member of farming systems projects across Australia
Jeanette Long is a Director and Facilitator, Trainer and Coach for Ag Consulting Co. She is passionate about developing people skills in agriculture and has a particular interests in extension skills and working with rural women. Jeanette delivers a range of training programs, manages projects as well as coaching individuals. She assists organisations and farm families with succession, strategic and business planning. Jeanette’s qualifications include a Master in Business Administration Agribusiness, Bachelor of Applied Science in Agriculture, Graduate Diploma in Education and Certificate 4 in Workplace Training and Assessment. She is a qualified facilitator and coach. Jeanette is the President of the Australasia Pacific Extension Network, a member of the Ag Excellence Alliance and Partners in Grain in SA.
Stefan Schmitt is employed by Ag Consulting Co as a research Agronomist. Stefan divides his time between internal research trials, project work with the Yorke Peninsula Alkaline Soils Group (YPASG) and client work for Ag Consulting Co. He is passionate about uncovering new innovations & efficiencies through his involvement in research. Stefan has a good understanding of agriculture production in the region after being raised on a family farm. His qualifications include a bachelor of Agriculture Science and a degree in Corporate Finance.
Alice Long is the communications and marketing co-ordinator for Ag Consulting Co. She is passionate about creative communication in rural industries. She grew up on a farm on Yorke Peninsula and is combining her interest in creative use of media with her rural background. Alice is keen to work with agricultural and rural industries to maximise the opportunity provided by todays online mediums. Alice has a Bachelor of Media Arts, and has undertaken Masters of Journalism training as well as Social Media Marketing training.
Danielle England, Ag Innovate
Danielle is a lead consultant within AgInnovate, based in Narrogin, Western Australia.
Danielle is passionate about mixed farming; in particular its people and its pastures. Over the past 20 years in the Australian agricultural industry, Danielle has worked with grower groups, research organisations and farm businesses to optimise farm profitability and productivity.
Whilst specialising in agricultural extension (and the development and delivery of change management programs), Danielle has enjoyed working with the Ag Consulting Co team in the delivery of Grain & Graze (2&3) and the adoption of Farm Advisory Boards in the WA grains industry.
Danielle studied her Bachelor of Agribusiness Marketing (Curtin University) at the Muresk Campus; has a Graduate Certificate in Rural Systems Management (Queensland University, Gatton Campus); a Diploma in Project Management; and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Danielle has been listed in the Emerald 2014 100 Women in Australian Agribusiness, and was the 2013 Western Australian RIRDC Rural Woman of the Year. Both of these awards recognise her outstanding leadership and passion for the Australian agricultural industry.
